Job Summary

A Contract Compliance Specialist job is available with the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Compliance Division. Contract Compliance Specialists play a vital role in supporting local social service efforts that help low-income residents by administering grant awards made to child care and youth service agencies, homeless service providers, and affordable housing organizations. Compliance Specialists also ensure that all applicable rules and regulations are followed for a wide variety of federal and state grant funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining relationships with external partners through excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Using a variety of software applications to manage contractor reimbursements and performance data.
  • Making regular onsite monitoring visits to review nonprofit agency or affordable housing property records for compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with multiple internal and external customers to ensure adherence to City and federally mandated procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A desire to work in service to low-income communities.
  • Strong detail orientation and good mathematical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of or Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
