Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer & Open Source Contributor (remote) in India. In this role, you will join a dynamic team focused on contributing to and maintaining open source projects while supporting internal platform development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to learn best practices, coding standards, and modern software development techniques.
• Contribute to open source projects, ensuring high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Design, develop, and maintain software features and backend services using Python and Golang.
• Assist with integration of open source contributions into internal products and services.
• Support API development and management using JSON and YAML, and participate in containerized application deployment.
• Engage with the open source community to build relationships, resolve issues, and contribute to software solutions.
• Participate in Agile processes, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to drive engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Experience in software development with a focus on Python and/or Golang.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and parallel computing concepts.
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a willingness to learn scale-out architectures.
• Knowledge or interest in telemetry, observability, and managing Kubernetes clusters (CNI, CSI, k0s, k0smotron).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.

Highly desirable

• Prior open source contributions, experience with CI/CD pipelines, Agile development, and AI infrastructure concepts.
