This role leads a high-impact engineering team responsible for delivering exceptional feed and media experiences to millions of users. You will manage and mentor engineers, drive technical strategy, and collaborate closely with product and design teams to develop innovative features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, operate, and mentor a high-performing, inclusive engineering team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering counterparts to execute product and business strategy.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, experimentation, and launch.
  • Set technical standards, recommend best practices, and ensure engineering excellence across the team.
  • Drive planning, development, and implementation across backend services and client platforms, including web and mobile applications.
  • Foster a culture of metrics-driven execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Support code reviews, product spec feedback, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building and managing high-performing engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer developing user-facing applications.
  • Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Go, Swift, Kotlin, Rust, Java, or C++.
  • Experience working with product metrics, designing and analyzing experiments, and leveraging tools like BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, etc.
  • Exposure to ML engineering and integrating ML solutions into production systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks while keeping projects on schedule.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
  • Strong focus on user experience, with deep intuition on usability and consumer behavior.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with self-direction, innovation, and bias toward action.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in remote environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership with empathy, fostering a supportive and inclusive team environment.
