Job Summary

We are looking for talented engineers to help build scalable, reliable, and intuitive features that empower our customers to operate Cribl Stream with confidence and agility. As a Staff Engineer working on the Stream Control Plane, you will be a technical expert working alongside skilled engineers as part of a cross functional team that delivers highly reliable and scalable software to drive customer value and satisfaction. This role is equal parts research and development. If you enjoy the challenges of building scalable, robust, and high performing distributed systems that process large data sets in real time, this position may be right for you. Key Responsibilities
- Develop software that powers the reliable and scalable operation of Cribl Stream such as deployment, configuration, and orchestration of distributed nodes at high scale
- Work with a cross functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to translate feature requirements into technical designs and implementable code
- Develop, test, and maintain robust code that effectively delivers customer value
- Develop automated tests and comprehensive test plans to ensure high quality code and product features that work as expected
- Champion teamwork, engineering best practices, and a customer focused mindset
- Introduce performance and efficiency improvements across our products and processes
- Help maintain and support our SaaS products including periodic participation in our 24×7 on-call rotations
- This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
Requirements
- BS in CS and 2+ years of industry experience / MS in CS
- Hands-on coding contributions on multiple projects that have shipped to production
- Experience working on enterprise software running in Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Has built and used production APIs (e.g. REST, RPC)
- Has participated in production on-call and incident response
