Position Summary

The GCS Slurry Engineering team is focused on comprehensively owning, maintaining, and improving specialty slurry operations at SAS. As a part of the Slurry Engineering team, you will provide support by interacting with the on-site operations/maintenance team for daily optimization and improvement in the slurry equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and ownership for slurry systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems.
  • Interact with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment.
  • Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve.
  • Work with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability.
  • Commission and startup new equipment installations.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and safety, while also reducing cost.
  • Evaluate future scenario planning including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting.
  • Implement standardization methods across equipment fleet (work processes, alarm management, 6s principles).
  • Optimize PM (preventative maintenance) strategies for aging assets to minimize risk of unexpected failures.
  • Improve process control and monitoring methods to ensure a robust proactive approach to sustaining large equipment sets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 year’s direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems.
  • Semiconductor or electronics facility support preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.

Salary Information

The current base salary range for this role is between $81,490 and $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.
