Job Summary
The Assistant Manager of Store Operations supervises and coordinates the activities of employees, ensuring that customer needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
- Generates a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers.
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, loading or unloading heavy items, and addressing customer suggestions.
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
- Oversees proper training, handles employee issues, and coordinates disciplinary procedures when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with store accounting procedures and reports potential problems.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in retail management preferred.
