UAM, one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautiful timberlands, rich in outdoor recreation activities, and approximately 100 miles south of Little Rock. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master’s degree programs.
Job Summary
Duties include assisting in the implementation and management of all phases of a competitive NCAA Division II women’s volleyball program in accordance with NCAA, Great American Conference, and University regulations including coaching, recruiting, scheduling, traveling, managing budget, supervising athletes, fund-raising, promoting and monitoring academic progress of student athletes, and part-time teaching in the area of health and physical education. Other duties may be assigned by the Head Coach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and management of the volleyball program
- Coaching and recruiting student athletes
- Scheduling and traveling for competitions
- Managing budget and supervising athletes
- Fund-raising and promoting academic progress
- Part-time teaching in health and physical education
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Knowledge of NCAA and Great American Conference bylaws
- Commitment to the academic success of student athletes
- Ability to organize and motivate student athletes
- Competitive background in coaching preferred
