Job Summary
A part-time Office Assistant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Police Department Gun Violence Unit. The Gun Violence Unit investigates all shootings for the Fort Worth Police Department. This position provides administrative and clerical support to unit personnel and assists with daily office operations in support of investigative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing offense reports for the supervisor
- Maintaining the Unit’s budget
- Reviewing and assigning cases to the investigators
- Categorizing and maintaining case files to be reviewed by the District Attorney’s office
- Answering phones and ordering office supplies
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED certification
- Two (2) years of responsible clerical experience
- Must pass Drug Screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient working with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work in a team atmosphere
