Job Summary
The office of Strategic Educational Partnerships collaborates with university and external stakeholders to contribute to student success, accountability and learning initiatives. Our vision is to support the success of all students at Texas A&M University.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides assistance and support in working closely with an administrative team.
- Determines own work priorities by closely communicating and working with team members on a regular basis.
- Embraces an environment of openness and respect among the team and individuals interacting with OSEP.
- Ensures to check where training is needed to be successful.
- Plans and implements post-event or -activity surveys to understand attendee data patterns.
- Conducts quantitative data collection & analysis for ongoing or new research, namely survey data.
- Assists the team in developing and implementing surveys after an OSEP event/activity.
- Assists with qualitative data collection & analysis for any ongoing or new research.
- May conduct literature review about relevant research-related topics (may include retention, low-income, student success, STEM students, etc.).
- Co-prepares and supports the department’s events or related activities representing OSEP.
- Provides marketing/communication support, including but not limited to creation and distribution of flyers and website management.
- Offers physical event support particularly leading up to, during, and after events, such as transferring supplies or gathering attendee lists.
- Monitors event calendar.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2 years’ experience in Qualitative Research Techniques and experience working with student organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TAMU community for 2+ years.
- Currently a student at TAMU or recent alumnus.
- Interest in social events or activities that promote student / TAMU community connections and interest in quantitative and/or qualitative research.
- Knowledge in Qualitative Research Techniques.
- Experience working with student organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Willingness to work closely with team members; frequent communication or ability to effectively and regularly communicate with team members.
- Ability to positively and professionally interact with others.
