As a functional expert in Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Benefits, and Reporting, you will leverage your extensive knowledge to guide the People Services team towards a more customer-centric approach to people-related transactions and processes. You will evaluate when Workday-delivered processes may not be the most intuitive customer solution and identify complementary solutions such as ServiceNow or a blend of both to achieve the highest degree of customer centricity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide strategic direction for Workday Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, Benefits, Adaptive Planning, Security and Reporting.
- Collaborate with internal (People Services) and external (HRIT, Centers of Excellence, etc.) stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, driving the planning, development, testing, and implementation of the Workday HCM system.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, leading enhancement design and scoping initiatives.
- Partner with HRIT to develop and articulate comprehensive solution options that incorporate user (People Services, HR, Centers of Excellence) and customer (Employee/Manager) experience, scalability, and best practices.
- Engage with key stakeholders to develop business and functional requirements for HRIT, including test strategy, test scenarios/scripts, and end-to-end testing execution in preparation for user/customer acceptance testing.
- Evaluate existing and new processes against the functional capabilities of current tools, making strategic recommendations and documenting business/functional requirements for HRIT to maximize tool capabilities in a customer-centric manner.
- Lead Customer Focus Groups to test all new processes with a representative sample from each customer persona (R&D, Global Product Supply, Commercialization, and Enabling Functions) to ensure customer acceptance testing drives new processes/services, as opposed to traditional user acceptance testing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members, ensuring they understand their roles.
