Key Responsibilities
- Manage an operations/consulting group that provides compensation expertise in the areas of job evaluation, market analysis, pay equity, state/federal pay compliance and position management.
- Introduce a redesigned compensation program with a new grade scheme, salary ranges and job architecture.
- Develop and maintain pay guidelines and new communications for HR business partners and managers to better understand the compensation program and make better decisions.
- Make process improvements including daily reviews of new requests, tracking outcomes against service level agreements, and data governance for survey administration through PayScale.
Requirements
- In depth knowledge of compensation principles, programs and practices.
- Knowledge of other HR disciplines and employment law.
- Skills required include organizational, relationship management, active listening, creativity and the ability to influence and inspire others to do their best work.
- Attributes include agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness and stress tolerance.
- Knowledge and skills required are ordinarily obtained through a bachelor’s degree plus at least 7-10 years of experience.
