Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst (Appian) for a full-time position remotely, supporting the Department of Labor (DoL). We are an organization that is committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry and looking for a Business Analyst (Appian) who is ready to assume leadership responsibilities in a supportive team environment that is focused on your success as a function of client success.

Key Responsibilities

• Review user stories in backlog; gain a solid understanding of the changes needed.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to understand user stories and updates needed.
• Document acceptance criteria for user stories and bug tickets.
• Help Developers understand the user stories and acceptance criteria, and lead discussions of new functionality.
• Test user stories and ensure that testing is appropriately documented, with evidence recorded.
• Serve as scrum master/ lead daily scrums.
• Develop an agenda for backlog grooming session; get concurrence with Product Owners.
• Lead backlog grooming sessions with Product Owners.
• Lead demo day and introduce stories to the Product Owners.
• Train stakeholders on new functionality.
• Document business processes and changes.
• Update requirements documentation.
• Update user manuals.

Requirements

• Provide detailed, comprehensive, testable, and traceable process components in several formats, including but not limited to Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, System Software Specifications, and Use Cases.
• Provide business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation support.
• Translate business process needs into technical specifications.
