Job Summary

The Supplier Engineer plays a critical role in collaborating with suppliers on product and process development, conducting quality audits, resolving quality issues, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with wider Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to provide materials and components for company product manufacturing.
• Communicate Resmed requirements & product specifications to suppliers and assess their ability to meet product specifications and quality requirements.
• Participate in supplier audits to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met.
• Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and resolve supplier-related problems.
• Validate Supplier Processes as part of new product introduction and/or Supplier Change Requests.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
• Review incoming supplies and finished goods from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.
• Investigate and resolve supplier non-conformances, complaints, and CAPAs.
• Evaluate suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance.
• Support projects requiring knowledge of fundamental themes, principles, and concepts.
• Build productive internal/external working relationships.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Scientific field (MS preferred).
• 2-3 years functional engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel domestically & internationally.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
