Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer (Remote) in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to help build and enhance cloud-based data tools and reporting systems that drive critical business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, optimize, and maintain datasets using SQL queries, views, and stored procedures with Redshift and PostgreSQL.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and reporting using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, and Python.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Build reusable tools, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and implement automated testing for data solutions.
- Integrate security and compliance requirements into all data engineering solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity, troubleshoot code, and adopt new technologies efficiently.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience writing SQL queries in Redshift or PostgreSQL.
- Some experience with Python, Java, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
- Exposure to AWS services (Glue, Lambda) and cloud-based data workflows.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
