Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Data Analyst (Data Governance) in the United States. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented data professional who will play a critical part in a large-scale business transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document data requirements across HR, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services domains.
  • Profile and analyze source data, assessing quality and structure to support accurate mapping and migration.
  • Develop comprehensive data mapping and transformation documents, including source-to-target specifications.
  • Validate mappings with Master Data Management (MDM) and integration teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data models.
  • Support data quality assessments, issue resolution, and metadata/lineage documentation.
  • Maintain data catalogs and documentation to enable discoverability and effective management of enterprise data assets.
  • Track progress, dependencies, and blockers across teams, providing timely updates and insights to project leaders.
  • Assist in designing and testing data integrations between new enterprise platforms and other business applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a data analyst or in a similar data-focused role, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations or migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, relational databases, and ETL tools.
  • Proven experience in data profiling, mapping, migration, and integration processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to data quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems.
  • Cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Data governance and quality best practices.
  • Experience in insurance, risk management, or financial services.
