Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Software Director in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire global software development teams, overseeing complex projects from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage global software development teams, promoting collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Establish and maintain standardized software development processes and best practices across projects.
  • Mentor engineers in software architecture, design, procedures, and documentation.
  • Define and implement common operating systems and tools across projects to enhance efficiency.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Enable frictionless resource allocation and reuse of software modules across projects.
  • Participate in hands-on software development as needed to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate across teams to understand project needs and ensure software commitments are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in medical technology or other regulated industries.
  • Proven experience leading teams through complex problem-solving and delivering large-scale software projects.
  • Strong track record managing software development processes and implementing best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java and C#.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based software applications and agile methodologies, including Sprint planning.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 15% of the time.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
