Job Summary

The Account Executive – Higher Ed & SLED role is focused on driving growth and revenue within the higher education and public sector (SLED) markets in California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop business and revenue opportunities across higher education and public sector accounts.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships to identify decision-makers and champions.
  • Manage full sales cycles, aligning with customer buying processes and procurement requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to advance deals, including proofs of concept when applicable.
  • Prepare and present proposals that demonstrate the ability of solutions to meet customer objectives and justify investment.
  • Prospect, penetrate, and close large accounts while identifying opportunities for expansion and cross-selling.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, evangelizing new technologies and solutions to customers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales or account management experience in SLED or Public Sector markets.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and closing business with large strategic accounts.
  • Experience developing new territories or regions from the ground up.
  • Ability to drive account expansion and value post-sale through customer success strategies.
  • Strong time management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Technical understanding of enterprise storage, NFS, object storage, and related IT infrastructure.
  • Experience navigating both business and technical discussions with executive stakeholders.
  • Competitive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications.
