Job Summary
As an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) at Knownwell, you will work alongside a team of committed physicians, APC, registered dietitians, registered nurses, and registered pharmacists, to provide comprehensive medical care, with a specific focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of obesity and obesity-related conditions as appropriate in a primary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care focusing on obesity and related conditions.
- Participate in a hybrid model of care, offering both in-clinic and virtual support.
- Maintain a flexible schedule with a minimum of 32 patient contact hours and 8 hours of administrative time.
- Engage in on-call duties as required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (MSN) and certification by one of the Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANPCB) or a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies with certification by the Physician Assistant certifying body (NCCPA).
- Unrestricted DEA licensure and prescribing authority.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting, family or internal medicine.
- Willingness to participate in clinical education and training for weight management.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in Illinois.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
