Job Summary

The Assistant Program Director plays a key leadership role in supporting program operations designed to help at-risk individuals and families maintain or secure stable housing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director in overall program management and strategic planning.
  • Supervise and support program staff, including case managers, supervisors, specialists, and administrative personnel.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure services meet program goals and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor staff performance, conduct regular supervision, and support professional development and training.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in case management systems and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support program delivery and client needs.
  • Assist in preparing reports for leadership, funders, and auditors by tracking program data.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and disciplinary actions for program staff.
  • Serve as a liaison in the absence of the Program Director and represent the program at meetings or community events.
  • Address escalated client concerns, programmatic issues, or emergencies in collaboration with leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Proven experience in program management, supervision, and working with at-risk populations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard business technology platforms.
  • Ability to navigate multiple software systems and maintain accurate data tracking.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and adapt to programmatic changes.
  • Physical ability to conduct occasional fieldwork, including lifting up to 10 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and traveling within the local community as needed.
