Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Backend Engineer in the United States. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building the core systems that power high-performance, data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable microservices and backend APIs to support high-volume data needs.
  • Build internal workflows and systems that enable seamless communication across services.
  • Own greenfield projects, from architecture through implementation, ensuring performance, resilience, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging tools to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Lead technical initiatives, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to elevate engineering standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in backend architecture and processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building microservices-heavy backend systems and APIs in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Advanced proficiency in Go, with strong experience in designing and scaling enterprise-level APIs.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CDK).
  • Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate and influence across teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Bonus: Interest in sports or prior experience in sports betting environments.
