Job Summary

As a Business Development Associate, you will provide administrative and sales support to one of our Regional Sales Teams. You will assist our sales teams in achieving sales targets by developing a thorough understanding of the needs of each territory, participating in business development activities, and working directly with Advisors and Brokers to fulfill requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage advisor communications via email and phone queue.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve advisor/client issues.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives, including events and service escalations.
  • Assist Broker Channel with onboarding/offboarding and rate exceptions.
  • Create and deploy targeted email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Generate and analyze sales reports to monitor activity and performance.
  • Maintain Inside Sales resources and assist with calendar and meeting logistics.
  • Organize advisor-facing events and presentations to strengthen relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support promotional initiatives and webinars.
  • Participate in roleplays and shadowing to deepen product expertise.
  • Act as a liaison across departments to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies and advisor engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education is required.
  • Adept written and oral communication is required.
  • Strong PC skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in banking or financial planning is an asset.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Takes initiative, is a positive influence and thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, including changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
