Job Summary
As the Brooks Canada Trade Compliance Analyst, you are responsible for day-to-day import and export trade operations for the company’s Canadian subsidiary. You will manage and execute key compliance programs and develop processes to comply with emerging customs regulations while striving for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily operations with the Canadian Customs Broker and other related parties to ensure timely clearance of shipments for both retailers and ecommerce customers, and compliance with Brooks’ policies and Canada import laws and regulations.
- Conduct daily Canada CADentry audits and provide approval to brokers to submit to Canada Customs.
- Investigate and resolve Canada shipment discrepancies by collaborating with the Transportation team, DC shipping team, freight carrier and Canada customs brokers.
- Manage the relationship with Canada Customs brokers, including quarterly business reviews and reporting monthly broker KPIs.
- Manage CARM and Single Window programs with CBS.
- Validate and approve duty invoices for payment.
- Own and manage the Canada returns process, creating Customs clearance documents for the US Customs broker.
