Job Summary
The Commercial Banker will act as the principal relationship manager, creating tailored financial solutions, analyzing credit opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service for mission-driven clients. This position requires a strong blend of relationship management, credit analysis, and business development skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for both new and existing commercial clients.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for middle-market banking products and cash management services to achieve growth targets.
- Identify, analyze, structure, and internally advocate for commercial credit opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal banking teams to prospect, onboard, and support new clients effectively.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of loans within the assigned portfolio.
- Maintain detailed prospect files, business strategies, and stay informed on market trends and banking regulations.
- Deliver excellent client service, advising on treasury management products and financial solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of commercial credit or banking experience; formal credit training is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of credit, intermediary lending, underwriting, non-profit accounting, and tax credits.
- Proven business development and relationship management skills with a track record of achieving growth goals.
- Ability to structure loans, monitor credit performance, and analyze financial data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and supervisory capabilities.
- Experience working in hybrid or flexible work environments.
