Job Title: Communications Student Assistant
Department: FAES | Center for Lake Erie Area Research-JM
- Conducts interviews and researches subjects for article development as sole author or in cooperation with other authors for newsletters and/or website
- Creates educational text for display panels for the public on topics like harmful algal blooms, pharmaceuticals in the water, wetlands and aquaculture
- Develops news releases on program research and events for public awareness and promotion
- Assists in the development of publication graphics and layout with graphic designer
- Helps to write short scripts for YouTube researcher summaries
- Develops brochures, fact sheets, and posters covering outreach programming
- Creates social media posts on program research and outreach
- Updates media lists and publication database
