Job Summary

As a Content Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging and high-quality learning materials that simplify complex technical concepts and align with Manulife University standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging, high-quality technical learning experiences using approved tools (PowerPoint, Articulate360 suite, Synthesia, Edcast suite, Clipchamp, MS Forms).
• Simplify complex technical concepts into accessible, learner-friendly formats.
• Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with Manulife University standards.
• Coach and support content creators on instructional design, storytelling, and tool usage.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to align learning strategies with business goals.
• Review and validate content for technical accuracy and platform compatibility.
• Facilitate seamless collaboration between content creators and platform teams.
• Manage post-publication activities including feedback, content freshness, and performance metrics.
• Continuously improve content frameworks and user experience.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years related engineering or software delivery experience with expectation that you are a hands-on practitioner.
• Previous experience in technical content creation is required with a passion for learning, teaching, and helping others grow.
• Strong storytelling, instructional design, or technical writing skills.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to a broad range of users (with or without a technical background).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Synthesia, Confluence and Articulate is a strong asset.
• Experience in developer advocacy, technical education, or enablement roles.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to track and report on content performance metrics.
