Job Summary
This role is essential to maintaining the safety, security, and orderly operation of the facility while supporting the Oregon Department of Corrections mission, values, and commitment to rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operational effectiveness and staff direction.
- Supervise adults in custody (AICs).
- Maintain order and ensure policy compliance.
- Provide guidance and oversight to Correctional Officers.
- Assist with shift coordination and address security concerns.
- Oversee housing units, program areas, and movement throughout the facility.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- One year of experience in a correctional security setting.
- Ability to obtain an Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) Correctional Certificate.
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED certificate.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- United States Citizen.
