Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive cybersecurity professional to protect critical systems and data from evolving threats. You will work within a dynamic security team to monitor, investigate, and respond to incidents while improving detection capabilities and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts.
- Formalize and implement security product tuning to enhance detection capabilities.
- Conduct forensic activities and after-action reviews to identify process improvements.
- Document incidents, maintain knowledge base articles, and develop internal procedures.
- Mentor and onboard new team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned security products and initial escalation point.
- Identify and implement automation to reduce repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Proactively propose improvements to reduce risk and potential future incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years performing cybersecurity analyst duties or similar.
- Intermediate-level security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GCIH).
- Experience in operational/shift-based environments, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, risk mitigation, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to function effectively in high-stakes, high-pressure situations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in English.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Passion for continuous learning and maintaining industry-specific certifications.
