Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Data Analyst (Data Governance) in the United States. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented data professional who will play a critical part in a large-scale business transformation initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document data requirements across HR, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services domains.
- Profile and analyze source data, assessing quality and structure to support accurate mapping and migration.
- Develop comprehensive data mapping and transformation documents, including source-to-target specifications.
- Validate mappings with Master Data Management (MDM) and integration teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data models.
- Support data quality assessments, issue resolution, and metadata/lineage documentation.
- Maintain data catalogs and documentation to enable discoverability and effective management of enterprise data assets.
- Track progress, dependencies, and blockers across teams, providing timely updates and insights to project leaders.
- Assist in designing and testing data integrations between new enterprise platforms and other business applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a data analyst or in a similar data-focused role, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations or migrations.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, relational databases, and ETL tools.
- Proven experience in data profiling, mapping, migration, and integration processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to data quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems.
- Cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Data governance and quality best practices.
- Experience in insurance, risk management, or financial services.
