Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer II in the United States. This role is a hands-on contributor within a collaborative data engineering team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines to support scalable, reliable, and high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Kafka, and other modern data engineering tools.
- Extract, cleanse, and integrate data from internal and external sources to ensure reliable data delivery.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data quality, pipeline performance, and data flow.
- Document and analyze new datasets, defining proper structure, integration, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and reporting teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Define and implement quality assurance rules, ensuring accurate and consistent data across systems.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical reviews to support Agile development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with modern data architectures and production-grade pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (including window functions, complex joins, pivots, and date/time calculations).
- Proficiency in Python and experience writing reusable, production-ready code.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and data transformation for integration into relational structures.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda, AWS Console, and version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational data models and best practices for data architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
