Job Summary

The Project Engineer-EPC & Development will assist the Construction Manager and Senior Development Staff with day-to-day tasks in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), which may include but is not limited to: tracking and monitoring progress; managing submittals, RFIs, schedules, contractors, vendors, permit coordination, construction & contract documentation, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan required to complete the project.
  • Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
  • Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors and contractors.
  • Supervises progress of development project and prepares weekly and monthly status reports for senior staff and off-takers.
  • Compares and tracks the actual cost of development project to budget.
  • Assist in management and oversight of consultants and contractors.
  • Assist in management of QA/QC process, commissioning, inspections, signoffs, punchlists, and closeout documents.
  • Assist in management of energy regulatory approvals (CUP, CAISO, FERC, NERC, CEC, EIA, etc.).
  • Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related engineering discipline or construction management required.
  • Prior experience in utility scale solar with an EPC or IPP.
  • 3-5 years prior experience in utility scale solar EPC.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Project Management software including but not limited to BlueBeam, Microsoft Project.
