Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the design of all low voltage (LV) wiring harnesses including schematics, bill of material, component selection, and wire harness prints.
- You will cover from clean sheet of paper through virtual development, testing/sign-off and manufacturing launch for Scout all-electric pick-up and rugged SUVs.
- Work with Purchasing and Finance counterparts to develop technical specifications in support of the quoting and sourcing process for harnesses and components under your control.
- Work with Cariad, key VW Group module owners, and suppliers to define and release all LV wire harnesses under your control.
- Be part of a diverse team fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development among team members.
- Perform virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.
- Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations.
- Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.
- Contribute to the design of production facilities for Scout trucks & SUVs.
- Manage supplier resources efficiently to deliver wire harness designs that meet cost, timing, and quality targets.
