Job Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for enhancing their technical knowledge and skill set through ongoing training and development as well as promoting safe work practices by leading by example. This position reports to the Facilities/Maintenance Manager and is part of the Manufacturing & Operations job family located in Richmond, IL and will be an on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work while following safety standards which comply with all company, local, state and federal guidelines.
  • Perform routine building maintenance and alteration projects.
  • Mechanical maintenance/service for facility HVAC and automation systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general building repair, preferred.
  • Must have own tools and possess strong troubleshooting skills with practical electrical and mechanical aptitude; able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical schematics and demonstrate basic proficiency in computer and math skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, with availability for weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly.
  • Standing/walking is required up to 90% of the workday.
