Job Summary
This is a rewarding role for those who value continuity of care, professional autonomy, and making a real difference. The purpose of this position is to provide care and custody of adults in custody (AIC)s, while providing central office oversight and management of a robust program dedicated to assessing, managing, and monitoring the needs, safety risks and concerns of transgender, intersex and non-binary AIC.
Key Responsibilities
- Chair a multi-disciplinary team to address individualized needs of the transgender, intersex, and non-binary AICs.
- Work closely with Department of Justice and represent ODOC in legal actions.
- Manage a demanding workload with a high level of responsibility.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a related degree.
- Four years of experience coordinating or administering a program, or any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years.
- Strong ethical leadership, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience working with gender-diverse individuals and utilizing trauma-informed care.
