Job Summary
A Hearing and Vision Tester (10 Months) tests the hearing and vision of school children in Baltimore City. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional work week. Work is performed in school room settings where there is minimal exposure to environmental hazards. Work requires carrying heavy audio and/or visual testing equipment in and out of school buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Test the hearing and vision of school children.
- Carry heavy audio and/or visual testing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of experience providing services to children or families in a health, education or social services setting.
- Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver’s license or equivalent.
