Job Summary
Under general direction, this position serves as a point of contact to key HR stakeholders and Centers of Excellence to design, implement, and troubleshoot Workday HRIS—with a particular focus on payroll and compensation. The HRIS Analyst will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across payroll, compensation, and related HCM processes, while promoting automation, data integrity, and reporting outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Payroll, Compensation, and HR stakeholders to design, configure, test, and deploy changes within Workday Payroll and Advanced Compensation modules.
- Support payroll processing cycles by ensuring data accuracy, integrations, and compliance with tax, regulatory, and union/collective bargaining requirements.
- Maintain and develop custom reports, dashboards, and audits to monitor payroll accuracy, overtime calculations, differential pay, and compensation adjustments.
- Configure and administer Workday business processes for Payroll and Advanced Compensation (including merit, bonus, equity, and incentive programs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll and compensation-related issues including integrations with Finance, Time Tracking, and external providers.
- Ensure data integrity by running audits, monitoring pay results, and proactively identifying discrepancies before payroll close.
- Assist in the design and rollout of global compensation cycles and provide reporting/analytics to HR, Finance, and leadership.
- Stay current on payroll compliance and compensation trends across different countries to ensure Alkegen meets regulatory standards.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancement packages, and testing with a focus on payroll/compensation impact.
- Provide end-user support and training related to payroll and compensation functionality in Workday.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 2+ years of direct Workday experience (must include Payroll and/or Advanced Compensation configuration, processing, and reporting).
- Strong understanding of payroll cycles, wage types, tax compliance, and compensation programs.
