THE ROLE
Our Global Freight & Logistics Shipping Manager is responsible for the global supply chain management of our Racing and Festival event apparel operations divisions, ensuring that goods and materials are moved, monitored, and managed. They oversee a variety of operations, including; transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management, import and export processes, purchasing, production planning, and customer service. This global logistics manager is a supply chain expert who uses their skills to coordinate essential operations in our business. They are excellent negotiators, organizers, and problem-solvers play a meaningful role within the event family. This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews
- Lead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier products against event timing
- Communicate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with management teams as well as develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
- Plan transportation and distribution routes
- Partner with customs and freight forwarders to properly document and move freight to 22 countries
- Import and Export Process Creation and Optimization
- Direct fleets
- Analyze freight budgets and billing
- Process in-bound and outbound shipments
- Supervise warehouse functions
- Create optimal receipt, dispatching, and storage procedures
- Tracking and tracing orders
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments
- Manage transportation documentation and orders
- Recruit, hire, train and onboard various team members as needed
