Job Summary
As an Embedded Systems Intern, you’ll get hands-on with cutting-edge energy systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and diagnostics across marine, rail, or power generation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across areas such as energy systems, controls, Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Internet of Things (IoT), and diagnostics.
- Collaborate with colleagues in power generation, power electronics, engine management, and testing.
- Use simulation toolchains and develop knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and XCP.
- Assist in the design of test cases, implementation of test scripts for test automation, and development of methodologies for testing embedded systems and devices.
- Contribute to the setup and development of test benches for ECU diagnostics testing.
- Conduct market research to identify best practices within the industry relevant to ongoing projects and assignments.
- Perform trend analysis and extrapolate insights to support evaluation of future growth opportunities.
- Identify and propose process improvement ideas to enhance current work practices.
Requirements
- Current university student or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C, and C++.
- Proficient in fundamental concepts of Electronic and/or Software Engineering.
- Relevant academic project or thesis in Embedded Systems, Electronics, or Software.
- Some understanding of diesel engines and power products is advantageous.
