Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to lead and optimize large-scale interpreting operations within a fully remote, global environment. You will oversee the end-to-end execution of interpreting projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability across diverse client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of all interpreting projects, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery across multiple teams.
  • Supervise and support project managers and operations staff, providing guidance, structure, and performance oversight.
  • Own and continuously improve interpreting operations processes, workflows, and resource allocation models.
  • Ensure profitability and cost efficiency by monitoring budgets, utilization, and operational performance.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems and KPIs to measure quality, productivity, and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify risks, obstacles, and dependencies across projects, implementing solutions to mitigate impact.
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication across interpreting teams, operations divisions, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of management-level experience within the interpreting industry.
  • Deep knowledge of interpreting operations, industry standards, evolving technologies, and process optimization.
  • Strong understanding of interpreting tools and the application of AI within language services operations.
  • Proven experience managing operating budgets and making strategic decisions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build systems, support teams, and foster strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation, mediation, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing organizational environments.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional language; more languages are a plus.
