Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Analyst – REMOTE. The Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the athenaIDX practice management system, particularly the Payer Contract Module (PCM) and Payer Enterprise Task Manager (ETM). This position involves a wide array of responsibilities aimed at improving and optimizing the healthcare revenue cycle, ensuring accurate payer contracts, and enhancing billing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the company’s AthenaIDX contracting and credentialing system.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in translating business needs to the AthenaIDX platform.
  • Obtain and manage payer fee schedules and documentation.
  • Format and upload fee schedules into the Practice Management System.
  • Translate payer contract reimbursement terms into the athenaIDX PCM environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reported system errors.
  • Provide support to 3rd party Revenue Cycle vendors as assigned.
  • Document issues and solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Validate and support system testing efforts.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of Revenue Cycle and Payer Contracting system capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience with revenue cycle, patient accounting, and billing workflows.
  • 5+ years of experience as a systems analyst in healthcare environments.
  • Experience in healthcare managed care contracting preferred.
  • Proficient in using athenaIDX and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative with detail-oriented approach.
  • Experience in managing healthcare IT projects.
