Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Skilled Nursing Unit Schedule: Full Time; Days. Supportive environment where residents and staff are valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNA’s.
- Meet with assigned nursing personnel to plan the shifts’ services, programs, and activities.
- Oversee the activity of assigned nursing assistants.
- Administer professional nursing services and medication to residents.
- Ensure residents receive services in accordance with their care plan.
- Assist with new admissions and discharges.
- Consult with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident’s care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Visit residents to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status.
- Notify the resident’s attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in the resident’s condition.
- Report problem areas to the RN Supervisor or Clinical Director.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Licensed Practical Nurse – Various.
