Job Summary
Performs a variety of functions in the medical office involving general duties including but not limited to: answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or EPIC; greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments, collecting patient copayments, making appointment reminder calls, verifying insurance and other patient data is accurate, scanning and/or uploading patient information to patient’s electronic chart.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including processing medical records, scheduling, insurance verification, routing and/or scheduling patient referrals.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.
- Willing to float between multiple locations as assigned.
Requirements
- Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year.
