Job Summary
The Operations Manager – Landfill manages the landfill operations to ensure all activities are in compliance with safety, environmental and equipment maintenance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the landfill operations of a business unit by overseeing the activities of the Operations Supervisor – Landfill, Lead Operators, Operators and/or General Laborers.
- Responsible for the management of the staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and equipment maintenance policies.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Area Manager, Post Collections to ensure landfill equipment is properly maintained.
- Plan and implement the operational procedures for the receiving and disposing of waste.
- Manage relationship with all outside contractors.
Requirements
- Experience in landfill operations management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
