Job Summary
This role is designed for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Oracle Grants and grants management processes within higher education and research institutions. You will lead the implementation of Oracle Grants, guiding functional area leads and stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant system configuration. The position requires balancing technical insight with functional knowledge, supporting data migration, process optimization, and integration efforts. You will collaborate with project teams, advise on workflow design, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic ERP transformation initiatives and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance research administration. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency and compliance while providing strategic guidance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive work plans detailing tasks, responsibilities, and timelines for Oracle Grants implementation.
- Conduct gap analyses of current ERP systems, document research administration processes, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Provide recommendations for system configuration, customization, and integration with other platforms.
- Advise on process changes to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency, including effort planning, billing, and certification workflows.
- Support data migration and cleansing initiatives from legacy systems to the new Oracle Grants environment.
- Participate in testing, deployment, and milestone events, offering expertise on grants management workflows.
- Document system functionality, business processes, and provide guidance on post-implementation staffing and support models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in Oracle Grants implementation, particularly within higher education or research institutions.
- Strong knowledge of effort certification, research administration, and grants and contracts management (pre- and post-award).
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering presentations.
- Demonstrated capability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to guide implementation decisions.
