The high energy theory research group at OSU (Columbus Campus) invites applications for a Post Doctoral Scholar position under the direction of Prof Guido Festuccia.

Job Summary

The successful candidates will conduct independent and collaborative research as part of the string theory group at OSU, consisting of Guido Festuccia, Pierre Heidmann and Samir Mathur. They will also work and interact with other members of the high energy theory group: Eric Braaten, Linda Carpenter and Stuart Raby. Candidates with demonstrated interests in quantum field theory, string theory, supersymmetry, holography, and black holes are especially encouraged to apply. The appointment is for a two-year term with a start date no later than Oct 2026. Extension for a third year will be considered depending on performance and availability of funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in high energy theory.
• Engage with the string theory group and other members of the high energy theory group.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Physics by the time of appointment.
• Record of accomplishments in theoretical high energy physics or closely related fields.
