Job Summary
Prudential’s Stable Value In-force Product Management team is looking for a Product Management Specialist with strong analytical and quantitative skills. Prudential is a top Stable Value provider serving the Defined Contribution Retirement, 529 College Savings, Bank Owned Life Insurance, and Health Savings Account markets. The in-force book of business totals over $70 billion across 400+ contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and management of the in-force business.
- Calculate crediting rates that Prudential guarantees on all in-force contracts.
- Review requested transaction activity by Stable Value managers and assess what contractual terms apply.
- Assess and specify the conditions under which Prudential is willing to accept risk on Stable Value business.
- Organize and manage data including security-level investment data and underwriting data.
- Understand and actively monitor the fixed income and stable value markets.
- Communicate and partner with various departments within and supporting Retirement Strategies.
- Identify, quantify, monitor, mitigate and report risks that impact the Stable Value business.
Requirements
- Four-year degree required; major in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, or economics preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Financial services experience preferred.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in learning about, the stable value marketplace, fixed income investments, and risk management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across Retirement Strategies and other Prudential divisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to learn and adopt new technology to streamline workload.
