Job Summary

The Quality Inspector (Falcon) is responsible for providing detailed in-process inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies, ensuring conformance to design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed in-process inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies, using detailed drawings, CAD models, and established processes.
  • Identify, document, and resolve production and test anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Communicate and help resolve quality related issues as they relate to the propulsion assembly department.
  • Document production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Support quality management system policies and procedure documentation.
  • Assess compliance to company and industry standards, initiate and lead continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, aviation, military or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Experience working with aerospace propulsion assembly installation and testing processes.
  • Experience with material review board and root cause/corrective action systems.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing priorities and tasks.
  • Experience with performing electronic testing and inspections using portable measuring devices.
  • Strong understanding of safety programs and OSHA regulations.
  • Practical experience working within quality management systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001).
  • Airframe & Powerplant license (A&P).

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: Quality Inspector/Level 1: $24.00 – $31.00/hour, Quality Inspector/Level 2: $28.00 – $37.00/hour, Quality Inspector/Level 3: $33.00 – $43.00/hour.
