Job Summary

Fort Worth Water is hiring a Security Supervisor to lead and coordinate security operations across multiple critical utility sites. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee contracted security staff, respond to intrusion alarms, and ensure safe, secure operation in a 24/7 municipal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and supervise security guards at various plant locations prioritizing and assigning work.
• Respond to intrusion alarms at offsite facilities and maintain security measures.
• Manage access control systems and support emergency response planning.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Monitor various contracts with security companies and general contractors.
• Perform technical and complex tasks, including developing and initiating emergency response plans.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in security, law enforcement or a related field.
• Four (4) years of security or law enforcement experience.
• One (1) year of complex administrative lead/supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass Drug Screen & Physical.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional years of supervisory experience working from multiple locations.
• Previous utility security experience.
• Experience with coordinating schedules for 24/7 operations.
• Experience with card access control and video management system (VMS).
• Level III Security Guard Training.
