About this role
As a Senior Data Recruiter at Faire, you will play a critical role in scaling our fast-growing Data and Machine Learning teams. We are looking for someone who is deeply passionate about technical recruiting, thrives in partnership with hiring managers, and has proven experience attracting top-tier talent in machine learning, data science, and related fields. You will be responsible for building and executing recruiting strategies that fuel our ability to solve complex data challenges and advance Faire’s mission. With a focus on leadership, process excellence, and candidate experience, you will help Faire continue to attract world-class talent while shaping the future of our recruiting function. This is a high-impact role based in Toronto or Waterloo with opportunities to expand scope as the business grows.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for data and machine learning roles, from role design through candidate close, with a strong focus on senior+ level and niche technical hires.
- Partner with hiring managers and executives to define requirements, calibrate on market talent, and drive structured, data-informed recruiting processes.
- Design and execute creative sourcing strategies across multiple channels – including outbound campaigns, networks, events, and partnerships – to identify and engage top ML and data talent.
- Champion candidate experience, ensuring Faire’s process is transparent, efficient, and engaging from first touchpoint to offer acceptance.
- Own the offer process end-to-end, providing guidance on competitive compensation, negotiation, and closing strategies.
- Maintain high data integrity within our applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) and provide actionable reporting and insights to leadership.
- Mentor and collaborate with other recruiters, sharing best practices and helping elevate the team’s approach to technical recruiting.
- Uphold and promote Faire’s values and DEI commitment, ensuring we build inclusive pipelines and equitable hiring processes.
