Job Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer II to help design and scale the next generation of Boulevard’s developer ecosystem. You’ll build the core infrastructure that powers our products — from APIs and event-driven systems to cloud architecture — ensuring our platform runs reliably and efficiently at scale. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs (GraphQL and REST) that power Boulevard’s ecosystem.
• Develop performant, fault-tolerant systems using caching, queuing, and asynchronous processing.
• Implement event-driven architectures with tools like Kafka and Redis MQ.
• Partner with infrastructure engineers to evolve cloud-native architecture and improve observability on AWS.
• Lead projects end-to-end — from ideation to deployment — ensuring technical quality, scalability, and timely delivery.
• Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement across the platform.
• Mentor and support other engineers, fostering technical growth and a culture of learning.
• Demonstrate senior-level ownership in code quality, collaboration, and execution; influence through expertise and impact.

Requirements

• 6+ years building and scaling distributed backend systems in production environments.
• Strong background designing and implementing GraphQL and REST APIs, with fundamentals in system design, data modeling.
