Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the United States. This role focuses on designing backend systems that manage critical functions such as payments, subscriptions, fulfillment, and order tracking, ensuring a seamless and reliable user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the architecture and scalability of backend systems, ensuring low latency, high availability, and secure operations.
• Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines connecting product, billing, and fulfillment systems for consistent cross-service communication.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver customer-facing features that enhance conversion, retention, and overall user experience.
• Ensure data integrity and reliability across distributed systems through resilient workflows and monitoring.
• Partner with DevOps to automate deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure using modern tools.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical documentation to uphold engineering quality standards.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize backend services to handle increasing traffic efficiently.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and internal frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, Node.js).
• Experience building RESTful and event-driven microservices at scale.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching systems.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce, subscription management, billing orchestration, checkout optimization, security best practices (PCI, SOC 2), CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and advanced data model.
